Dog friendly places in Pune – Number Four!
If a cafe is named after a dog, you know it’s gonna be one hell of a dog-friendly place! Joshua is a Labrador Retriever, extremely cute and friendly I must add! Owner, Mr. Mittal named this place after his furry buddy and his pictures are all over the wall, which is so adorable!
This cafe is situated bang opposite Cafe Peterdonuts in Aundh and could easily be missed if you are not aware of the location. Although the cafe is small, it always gives out a cozy vibe, it will calm your nerves and immediately make you feel relaxed. The street on which it is located is also very quiet and calm, away from all the crazy Aundh traffic, so it could easily become a go-to place for any book-lover or pet-lover. You can spend hours here, getting engrossed in your book or playing with your pet. Cafe Joshua has an indoor and outdoor seating. Joshua can be spotted on several occasions here, he is a friendly dog so you might be able to play with him as well!
We took our dog Moose here, the owner Mr. Mittal, was kind enough to feed him bacon strips, free of cost, because needless to say, even he is a pet-lover! So while we enjoyed our coffee and snacks here, Moose was devouring his yummy treat.
Coming to the food, we tried the chicken BMT sandwich, tomato mozzarella sandwich and coffees here. I would say the food is pretty decent here but the coffee is what I loved the most! Coffee is not too sweet and is pretty strong, just the way I like it! I also loved the nutty affair, Signature Joshua coffee and omelettes here. They garnish a few dishes like brownie and coffee with Joshua’s cute paw mark, usually a cinnamon or chocolate dusting, just takes the pet-friendly feeling to a whole new level! Service is pretty quick and staff is very courteous. Would definitely visit again to try their pastas, pizzas and shakes.
Overall, a decent place for food and an awesome place for pet-lovers. Have one look at their menu and you will notice the prices are very affordable for the amount of time you want to spend out here lazying around. It is very accessible to the people in Aundh and the areas around it.
