There is something amazing about family owned restaurants, isn’t it? Mr. and Mrs. Sehgal invited us foodies for a tasting session which turned out to be so much fun! This lovely couple brings in a lot of warmth along with serving some delicious food. I didn’t even know Vadgaon Sheri area had developed so much since I visited nearly after 6 years or so. But I am so glad to have found this place, which is highly under-rated to be honest! Okay, let’s get started with my review!
As soon as you enter this restaurant, you won’t be able to ignore the cozy and beautifully decorated interiors! The lights, the paint-splashed wall, a fun corner with books and games and of course, the most important of all, the clean kitchen. If you sit downstairs, you will be able to watch your food being prepared by their kitchen team. While our pizzas and waffles were being made, the smell of the food made our tummies rumble.
We started off with some mocktails and I chose the Masala Cola Blast, which surely had a good punch of cumin, mint leaves and other spices , it was my personal favorite because I love coke so much! Other mocktails we tried were Blue Lagoon, Shirley Temple, Green Apple Mojito, Red Berry Mojito and Fountain Icecream (this one was my second favorite)
Coming to appetizers, their nachos were definitely cheesy and delicious. They even have salads, an avocado salad for vegeterians and spacciusa salad for chicken lovers. Personally for me, spacciusa just stood out and stole the show with it’s beautiful colors and taste. A must-try when you are at the restaurant.
Lasagne Buzzari was another yummy dish to be tried out here. Unlike many other restaurants which make their lasagne too heavy and unappetizing, BSP makes it perfectly. Spaghetti aglio olio is simple yet delicious.
Let’s talk about their stars, the pizzas! No other place in Pune serves a two-foot long pizza slice like they do! You can even go for a half and half choice of different toppings. Friends, family, kids, everyone will definitely enjoy the pizzas they have to offer. The toppings that stood out for me: their paneer tikka pizza (so so so yummy) and their chicken kebab pizza (never knew pizza could taste so good with mint chutney for heaven’s sake!)
It would be a crime to leave this place before trying their waffles. The red velvet waffle and dark chocolate chip waffle on a stick are gorgeous to look at and delightful to eat!
Verdict: I have never felt more welcomed at a restaurant for a food tasting. This place could easily be my reading spot where I could get engrossed in a book in a corner and I am sure the Sehgal family will take good care of me with their mouth-watering food! Full paisa vasool! Definitely visiting again! *I must mention they have an amazing playlist of songs as well*
Lastly, a huge shout-out to Team BSP and my fellow foodie Roma (namastepune) for the invitation! 🙂
